Warrior macros

Warriors are relentless fighters, using their strength and skill in arms to charge headlong into battle and dominate their foes.

20 macros

  • Break Fear

    Warrior

    #showtooltip Berserker Rage
    /cast Berserker Rage

Uses Berserker Rage to shed a fear effect. The old version of this macro danced between stances, which has not been necessary since stances were removed from the game.

  • #showtooltip Mortal Strike
    /startattack
    /cast Mortal Strike

Makes sure auto-attack is running whenever you press your rage builder. A stopped auto-attack is invisible on your bars and expensive on the meters.

  • #showtooltip Avatar
    /cast Avatar
    /use 13

Lines up Avatar with your first trinket. Arms and Fury both want their cooldowns fired together, and one key guarantees you never open with half of them.

  • #showtooltip Charge
    /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Charge

Charges your focus target if you have one set, otherwise your current target. Useful for closing on a specific caster without giving up the target you are attacking.

  • #showtooltip Charge
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Charge

Charges whatever you are hovering. Aiming a gap closer with the mouse is considerably faster than targeting first and charging second.

  • #showtooltip Heroic Throw
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Heroic Throw

Pulls a single ranged mob without changing target. Also the safe way to start a pull when charging in would grab two packs.

  • #showtooltip Intervene
    /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][help] Intervene

Runs to a hovered ally and takes their next hit. Intervene is a peel and a gap closer at once, and both uses want it aimed precisely rather than at whoever you have selected.

  • #showtooltip
    /cast [@party1] Intervene

Intervenes to the first player in your party frames without a target swap, which is how it is usually bound in arena.

  • #showtooltip Shield Wall
    /cast Shield Wall
    /cast Last Stand

Fires Shield Wall and Last Stand together. Neither costs a global cooldown, so both land instantly and give you a very large window to survive a tank buster.

  • #showtooltip Pummel
    /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Pummel

Interrupts your focus if you have one, otherwise your current target. This replaces the old stance-swapping interrupt macros, which stopped working when stances were removed.

  • #showtooltip Pummel
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Pummel

Kicks whatever your cursor is over. Faster than maintaining a focus when the caster you need to stop changes every pull.

  • #showtooltip Rallying Cry
    /cast Rallying Cry
    /p Rallying Cry is up

Gives the group temporary health and says so in party chat, so a second Warrior does not immediately overlap theirs.

  • #showtooltip Spear of Bastion
    /cast Recklessness
    /cast [@cursor] Spear of Bastion

Fires Recklessness and then throws Spear of Bastion at your cursor. Getting both out in one press stops an auto-triggered Bladestorm from eating your Spear.

  • #showtooltip
    /cast Shield Slam
    /cast Revenge

Casts Shield Slam and falls through to Revenge on the same press when Shield Slam is cooling down, keeping your Protection filler on a single key.

  • #showtooltip Shockwave
    /stopcasting
    /cast Shockwave

Cancels your queued ability and stuns the cone in front of you immediately. Shockwave is a reaction, and reactions cannot wait for a global.

  • #showtooltip Spear of Bastion
    /cast [@cursor] Spear of Bastion

Throws the spear at your cursor with no reticle step, so the area damage and the snare land where you meant them to.

  • #showtooltip
    /cast [@arena1] Storm Bolt

Stuns the first enemy in the arena frames regardless of your target. Change arena1 to arena2 or arena3 for the rest of the team.

  • #showtooltip Storm Bolt
    /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Storm Bolt

Stuns your focus target. Combined with the focus Pummel macro this lets you shut one caster down completely without ever selecting them.

  • #showtooltip Taunt
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Taunt

Taunts whatever your cursor is over. Picking a loose add off a healer while you keep tanking the boss is the entire reason to bind this.

  • #showtooltip
/cast [known:Impending Victory] Impending Victory; Victory Rush

Casts whichever heal-on-kill ability you have talented, so the same keybind works regardless of your build and you never leave the healing unused.

Other WoW classes

Every class shares the same macro syntax, so a good idea usually ports across.
