Warlock macros

Warlocks wield the powers of darkness, using their mastery of the demonic arts to summon infernal minions and unleash devastating spells.

20 macros

  • #showtooltip Agony
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Agony

Applies Agony without changing target. Agony ramps over time, so getting it onto every target as early as possible is worth real damage.

  • /cast [mod:shift] Summon Imp; [mod:ctrl] Summon Succubus; [mod:alt] Summon Voidwalker; Summon Felhunter

Summons your Felhunter by default, with Imp, Succubus and Voidwalker on Shift, Ctrl and Alt. Four summons on one key, which is worth it given how often you swap.

  • #showtooltip Banish
    /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Banish

Banishes your focus without touching your current target. Banishing the demon you are supposed to be killing is a classic mistake this makes impossible.

  • #showtooltip Summon Darkglare
    /cast Summon Darkglare
    /use 13

Fires your damage cooldown with your first trinket. Swap Summon Darkglare for Summon Demonic Tyrant or Summon Infernal to match your specialisation.

  • #showtooltip Command Demon
    /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Command Demon

Fires whichever pet ability your current demon has — Spell Lock on a Felhunter, Axe Toss on a Felguard — through the single Command Demon button, aimed at your focus.

  • #showtooltip Corruption
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Corruption

Spreads your damage-over-time effect onto a hovered target. Affliction lives on keeping dots up across a pack, and this removes the target swaps that cost you casts.

  • #showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Demonic Circle: Teleport; Demonic Circle

Plants your circle normally and teleports to it while Shift is held. The two halves of the ability are never useful at the same time, so one key covers both.

  • #showtooltip Fear
    /focus [mod]
    /stopmacro [mod]
    /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Fear

Fears your focus target, and sets your current target as focus while a modifier is held. Fear breaks on damage, so keeping it off your damage target is essential.

  • #showtooltip Healthstone
/use [button:2] Algari Healing Potion; Healthstone

Uses your Healthstone on left-click and a healing potion on right-click, keeping both emergency buttons in one slot.

  • #showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Ritual of Souls; Create Healthstone

Creates a Healthstone for yourself normally, or lays down a Ritual of Souls for the whole group while Shift is held.

  • #showtooltip Mortal Coil
    /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Mortal Coil

Horrifies your focus target and heals you for doing it. Aiming it deliberately means you can peel someone off your healer without losing your target.

  • #showtooltip Healthstone
    /use Healthstone
    /cast Unending Resolve

Uses your Healthstone and Unending Resolve together. Neither costs a global cooldown, so both land instantly when you are about to die.

  • #showtooltip Rain of Fire
    /stopmacro [channeling]
    /cast [@cursor] Rain of Fire

Casts Rain of Fire at your cursor, but does nothing while you are already channelling it. Prevents you from cutting your own channel short by pressing the key twice.

  • #showtooltip
/cast [mod:ctrl] Ritual of Souls; Ritual of Summoning

Summons a player normally, or puts down a soulwell while Ctrl is held. The two group rituals sharing one bar slot.

  • /petattack [@focus,harm,nodead][]
    /petfollow [mod:shift]

Points your demon at your focus target and starts your own attack. Holding Shift recalls the pet instead, which is what you want when it wanders into a second pack.

  • #showtooltip Shadowfury
    /cast [@cursor] Shadowfury

Drops your area stun at the cursor with no reticle. Shadowfury has a cast time, so being able to aim it instantly is the difference between catching the pack and missing.

  • #showtooltip Soulstone
    /cast [@mouseover,help][help][@player] Soulstone

Soulstones whoever you are hovering, defaulting to yourself. Before a pull you want it on a healer, and hovering their frame is quicker than targeting them.

  • #showtooltip Spell Lock
    /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Spell Lock

Sends your Felhunter to interrupt your focus target. Pet interrupts are easy to forget about, and pointing it at a focus makes it a real part of your kit.

  • #showtooltip Summon Infernal
    /cast [@cursor] Summon Infernal

Lands your Infernal at the cursor. The summon stuns where it lands, so precise placement turns a damage cooldown into a control tool as well.

  • #showtooltip Unending Resolve
    /stopcasting
    /cast Unending Resolve

Cancels your cast and takes the damage reduction immediately. Finishing a Chaos Bolt while you are being executed is not a good trade.

Every class shares the same macro syntax, so a good idea usually ports across.
