The Elder Scrolls Online · class

Sorcerer macros

Sorcerers wield lightning, summon daedric pets and use Bound Armaments and Streak for the best mobility of any class.

23 macros

  • /afk Making tea
    /dnd
    /online

Sets your status so guildmates see why you are not answering. /afk takes an optional message, /dnd suppresses incoming whispers entirely, and /online clears both.

  • /emote lights a candle at the shrine.
    /emotelist

Prints a free-form third-person emote. ESO also has several hundred animated emotes; typing /emotelist prints the full set to chat.

  • /readycheck

Sends a ready check to your group. Only the group leader can call one, and the result appears as a system message for everyone.

  • /invite @AccountName

Invites a player to your group using their account name. Works across zones and campaigns, which is faster than finding them on the map.

  • /jumptofriend @AccountName

The friends-list version of the guild jump. Both commands respect instance and campaign rules, so they will fail politely if the target is in a dungeon or a locked Cyrodiil campaign.

  • /jumptoguildmember @AccountName

Teleports you to the wayshrine or graveyard closest to the named guild member, for free, from anywhere in the world. The single most useful travel command in the game — keep one line per trading guild you belong to.

  • /jumptoleader

Travels to whoever is leading your group. The quickest way to catch up after a loading screen dumps you in the wrong zone, and it costs nothing.

  • /script GroupLeave()

ESO has no built-in command for leaving a group — the various /leavegroup and /gl commands people share come from add-ons. This one-line script calls the same API those add-ons use, so it works on a clean install.

  • /logout
    /camp

Logs you back to the character screen. /camp is the roleplay-flavoured alias for the same thing, and /quit closes the client entirely.

  • /script ZO_SavePlayerConsoleProfile()

Writes the current client variables to your user settings file so they survive a restart. Always run this after changing a setting with SetCVar, otherwise the change is lost the next time you log in.

  • /played

Prints the total time played on the current character. Nobody enjoys the answer.

  • /script CHAT_ROUTER:AddSystemMessage("Food? Potions? Mundus?")

Writes a system message that only you can see. Trial groups use it as a pre-pull checklist — food, potions, mundus — without spamming the group channel.

  • /guild2 Selling raw materials in the trader, mail me

You can belong to five guilds; /guild1 through /guild5 post to a specific one, and /officer1 through /officer5 post to that guild's officer channel.

  • /group Stack on the healer for the next mechanic

Posts to your group. /group and /party are the same channel, and /p is the short form worth committing to muscle memory before your first trial.

  • /script d(GetNumBagUsedSlots(BAG_BACKPACK) .. "/" .. GetBagSize(BAG_BACKPACK))

A one-line Lua script that prints used and total backpack slots to chat. Handy while farming, where opening the inventory panel costs you a global cooldown you would rather spend on a skill.

  • /script d(GetCurrencyAmount(CURT_MONEY, CURRENCY_LOCATION_CHARACTER))

Prints exactly how much gold you are carrying to chat. Useful when you are haggling in a guild trader and do not want to open the inventory panel.

  • /reloadui

Reloads the UI without leaving the game. Run it after changing add-on settings so saved variables are written to disk, and any time an add-on stops drawing correctly. Your position, buffs and combat state are preserved.

  • /bug

Opens the in-game bug reporting panel with your location attached, which is considerably more useful to ZeniMax than a forum thread.

  • /fps

Toggles the framerate counter. Trial leaders ask for it when a group is stuttering, because it separates a client problem from a server problem quickly.

  • /chatlog

Writes everything in chat to a file in your Documents folder. Useful for guild officers keeping a record of trader bids and raid signups.

  • /encounterlog

Starts and stops the combat encounter log that damage-meter add-ons and external parsers read. Remember to toggle it off after a trial — the log file grows quickly.

  • /w @AccountName Do you have a slot for the trial?
    /r On my way

Whispers a player by account name, and /r replies to whoever last messaged you. The @ prefix is required on account names but not on character names.

  • /zone Dolmen train forming at Rivenspire, invite for group

Posts to zone chat, which is still how most world-boss and dolmen trains are organised outside of the group finder.

Other ESO classes

Every class shares the same macro syntax, so a good idea usually ports across.
