Posts to your four-player group. The short form is /p, which is worth the muscle memory in a flashpoint.

Press Enter to open chat and type the command with its leading slash.
Use Preferences → Key Bindings to bind quickbar slots — a good bar layout removes most of the reason to want macros.
Save recurring call-outs as chat tab presets so you are one click away from them.
Combine /target with /stopattack and emotes to build the pull and marking routines groups actually need.

Picks up whatever your current target is attacking. Pair it with /target to build a two-line focus routine: target the tank, then assist them onto the right add.
Create a Private Chat Channel

The numbered channels are region-wide: /1 is General, /2 is PvP and /3 is Trade. Most server economies still run through /3 rather than the auction house alone.
Ignore a Player

Blocks whispers and chat from a player. The ignore list is per-character rather than account-wide, which catches people out.
Invite and Remove Group Members

Invites a player into your group or removes one. Both take a character name, and both require you to be the group leader for the removal.
