Warrior macros

Warriors are the quintessential fearless fighters on the battlefield, experts at a wide range of weapons and tactics. Their legendary ability to withstand punishment and their unparalleled prowess in close combat make them the ideal frontline warriors. Their primary role is as a tank, drawing enemy fire and protecting their allies from harm.

15 macros

  • #showtooltip Overpower
    /cast [nostance:1] Battle Stance
    /cast Overpower

Switches to Battle Stance and immediately uses Overpower. Overpower only works in Battle Stance and only for a few seconds after a dodge, so speed matters.

  • #showtooltip Berserker Rage
    /cast [nostance:3] Berserker Stance
    /cast Berserker Rage

Switches to Berserker Stance and uses Berserker Rage, which clears and prevents fear. The stance swap is why this needs to be a macro rather than a plain button.

  • #showtooltip Intercept
    /cast [nostance:3] Berserker Stance
    /cast Intercept

Gets you into Berserker Stance and intercepts your target, which is your only gap closer once combat has already started.

  • #showtooltip Bloodthirst
    /cancelaura Blessing of Protection
    /startattack
    /cast Bloodthirst

Drops a Blessing of Protection someone put on you, starts your swing and casts Bloodthirst. The bubble blocks your own attacks, so it has to go before you can hit anything.

  • #showtooltip Charge
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Charge

Charges a hovered target without selecting it first, which is noticeably faster when you are opening on a specific player in a battleground.

  • #showtooltip Charge
    /cast Charge
    /cast Rend
    /startattack

Charges when you are out of combat and at range, and falls through to Rend once you are on top of the target. A clean double-press opener.

  • #showtooltip Intimidating Shout
    /cast Intimidating Shout
    /stopcasting
    /use [@player] Heavy Runecloth Bandage

Fears everything off you and immediately starts a bandage. Bandaging breaks on damage, so clearing the melee around you first is what makes it land.

  • #showtooltip Rend
    /cast Rend
    /startattack

Casts Rend and guarantees your swing is running. Warrior abilities do not start auto-attack in Classic, which quietly costs both damage and rage generation.

  • #showtooltip
/cast [equipped:Shields] Shield Bash; [stance:3] Pummel; Berserker Stance

Uses Shield Bash when you have a shield equipped and Pummel in Berserker Stance, so the same key interrupts regardless of what you are holding.

  • #showtooltip Shield Wall
    /cast Defensive Stance
    /cast Shield Wall

Switches to Defensive Stance and casts Shield Wall in one press. Stance changes are off the global cooldown, which is what lets both happen together.

  • #showtooltip Shield Wall
    /equip Carpenter's Mallet
    /equip Worn Large Shield
    /cast Defensive Stance
    /cast Shield Wall

Equips a one-hander and shield, switches to Defensive Stance and casts Shield Wall. Shield Wall needs a shield equipped, so the swap has to come first.

  • #showtooltip Sunder Armor
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Sunder Armor

Stacks Sunder Armor on a hovered target without losing your current one. Sunder does no damage, so it is safe to apply to a crowd controlled mob.

Every class shares the same macro syntax, so a good idea usually ports across.
