Vandal macros

A unique class that harnesses the power of art and colors to unleash devastating attacks, using creativity and graffiti to manipulate the battlefield and outsmart opponents.

29 macros

  • /Friend Character Name

Adds a character to your friends list so you can see when they come online without searching for them.

  • /Select Tank Name
    /Skill Select Target's Target
    /Group Assisting on [%Target] now.
    /Attack

Selects the tank, takes their target, tells the group what you are switching to, and opens the attack. The announcement is what keeps a whole group on the same mob.

  • /Select [%Variable1]
    /Skill Select Target's Target
    /Skill Your Heal Name
    /Select [%PreviousTarget]

Selects the main healer, jumps to whoever they are healing, casts your own heal, then returns you to your previous target. Replace the heal with your own — the surrounding lines do the work.

  • /Select Puller Name
    /Delay 1
    /Skill Select Target’s Target

Targets the player doing the pulling by name, waits briefly for their target to register, then assists onto it. The delay matters — without it you assist before they have a target.

  • /Select [%Variable1]
    /Skill Select Target's Target

Selects the player you saved with the assist macro and then picks up whatever they are attacking. This is how a damage group stays focused on one mob without anyone calling targets out loud.

  • /ChangeChannelLeader [77] [Character Name]

Hands channel administration to another character. Worth keeping ready before you log off if you are the one holding the channel open.

  • /ChannelInformation

Prints the current channel's name, number and member list, which is the quickest way to check whether anyone is actually listening.

  • /CreateChannel [Virakar] [77]
    /JoinChannel [Virakar] [77]

Creates a custom chat channel and joins it in one press. Legion alliances and siege groups run on these because they survive across groups and alliances.

  • /ChannelNotification [Virakar] ASMODIAN SPOTTED

The most useful channel macro in the game: one key that tells your whole legion an enemy faction player has been seen. Keep one per zone you defend.

  • /Flight

Takes off. Flight is on a timer and only works in flight-enabled zones, so binding it to a key you can reach in a hurry is worth doing.

  • /Skill Extract Aether

The aether-node counterpart to Extract Vitality. Aether gathering happens in flight, where menu-hunting costs you flight time.

  • /Skill Extract Vitality

Fires the Extract Vitality gathering skill without hunting for it on your bars, which matters when you are gathering hundreds of nodes.

  • /Group Pulling in 3
/Alliance Move to the south gate

Posts to your group with /p, or to the whole alliance with /a. During a siege the alliance channel is the only one anyone is really reading.

  • /Who Character Name

Searches for a character and shows the result in the Search tab of the Social window, including their class, level and legion.

  • /Skill Morph Substances

Opens the Morph Substances window for turning lower-tier materials into higher-tier ones, straight from a quickbar slot.

  • /ChannelNotification [Virakar]

Sends a notification to a named channel, which every member sees regardless of which group or alliance they are currently in.

  • /Item Major Healing Potion
    /Delay 1
    /Skill Your Skill Name

Drinks a potion and immediately continues your rotation. /Item takes the item name exactly as it appears in your inventory, and it obeys the same delay rules as a skill.

  • /Duel

Challenges your current target to a duel. Ignored if they have duel requests turned off, which many people do in cities.

  • /Skill Return

Casts Return, teleporting you to your bind point. The quickest way out of a zone once you have finished with it.

  • /Roll 100

Rolls a number in a chosen range, defaulting to 1 through 1000. Only works while you are in a group or alliance.

  • /Say Ready when you are
/Shout Group forming for the fortress siege

Speaks to players immediately around you, or shouts to everyone in a wider radius. /s and /y are the short forms worth learning.

  • /Variable 1 [%Target]

Stores a player in a macro variable so other macros can refer to them. Set your tank or main healer once and every assist macro you own points at them until you log out or overwrite it.

  • /Automatic Selection
    /Skill First Skill Name
    /Delay 1.5
    /Skill Second Skill Name
    /Delay 1.5
    /Attack
    +1 more

Picks up a target, runs a short chain, and drops back into auto-attack when it finishes. Keep chains to three or four skills — a macro stops dead the moment one skill has no target or you run out of MP.

  • /Variable 0 Archon Brigade General's
    /Use #Variable 0 Tunic
    /Use #Variable 0 Leggings
    /Use #Variable 0 Gloves
    /Use #Variable 0 Pauldrons
    /Use #Variable 0 Shoes
    +1 more

Stores the shared prefix of a set in a variable, then equips each piece by name. Aion macros have a character limit, and this is how you fit a full set swap inside it.

  • /EquipSlot 17 Shield Name
    /EquipSlot 17 Weapon Name

Equips to a specific slot number rather than letting the game choose. Slot 17 is the off-hand, so this alternates between a shield and a second weapon on one key.

  • /1 Anyone running the fortress instance?
/3 LFG for Dark Poeta, healer here

Aion numbers its public channels: 1 is Local, 2 is Trade and 3 is Looking for Group. Typing the number posts to that channel directly.

  • /Skill Ferocious Strike II
    /Delay 1.5
    /Skill Rage II

The shape every Aion combat macro takes: a skill, a delay long enough to cover the global cooldown and the animation, then the next skill. Leaving out a delay is the single most common reason a chain fires only its first ability.

  • /Skill First Skill Name
    /Delay 1.5
    /Skill Second Skill Name

Delays take decimals, so /Delay 1.5 is valid and often correct. Too short and the next skill is swallowed by the global cooldown; too long and you idle. Start at 1.5 and shave it down until skills start failing.

  • /Whisper Character Name

Switches to whisper mode for a named player. /w is the short form and behaves identically.

Other Aion classes

Every class shares the same macro syntax, so a good idea usually ports across.
